(SPEECH) [Music] (DESCRIPTION) Text, Senior Statistician, Frost Hubbard. (SPEECH) My name is Frost Hubbard, and I'm a senior sampling statistician at Westat. I draw samples, as well as create survey weights for lots of the projects we work on. We're studying the energy use of commercial buildings throughout the United States. And so, as part of my job was creating sampling frames or lists of different commercial buildings, whether they're done through people going around the neighborhood that we've selected, and listing the commercial buildings for us, or we purchase a list. And then once we go through the interviewing process, part of my work there was to help calculate response rates to measure the potential for non-response bias, as well as after the study, creating the survey weights for the survey. So it generates estimates of energy use for commercial buildings throughout the United States. Then they then can turn, change how they are using their energy in order to come in better line with the rest of their competitors. As well as, hey, if you're concerned about the environment, maybe this is something we should be looking into and bring ourselves more in line with the people around us, in our region. That's the thing that really I appreciate about working at Westat is the fact that we're doing stuff for the public good and to help improve society. As well as just the feeling of community that you get working at Westat. The fact that it's an employee-owned organization, and the fact that we all feel like we're in the same boat together, working together for one common cause. Those are all things that I feel like had been strong positives, and I'm really glad that I've been working here and I've only been happy since I started. [Music] (DESCRIPTION) Westat logo.
